BISHOP HERMAN COLLEGE || Bishop Herman Old Boys Union || BHOBU || Outstanding Bihecans ||

We the old students of Bishop Herman College [BIHECO], Kpando in the Volta Region of Ghana,
Having recognised the need to constitute ourselves into a union hereby give ourselves this constitution.

ARTICLE 1 - NAME

The organisation shall be known as "Bishop Herman Old Boys Union" hereinafter referred to as BHOBU.

ARTICLE 2 - AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

A. BHOBU shall be committed to bringing together and promoting the spirit of solidarity among
all old students of Bishop Herman College.

B. Establishing and maintaining a close and effective link between the old students and the Alma
Mater.

C. Promoting and sustaining the intellectual, economic, social and cultural advancement of all
members of the Union.

D. Promoting and encouraging the formation of branches all over Ghana and elsewhere.

E. Collaboration with the school authorities to promote the educational objectives of the school.

ARTICLE 3 - MEMBERSHIP

A. Membership of the Union shall be open to all students of Bishop Herman College.

B. For the purpose of this Constitution, an old student is any person who spends a minimum of one academic year in Bishop Herman College in pursuit of academic laurels.

C. Honorary membership shall be open to any person, other than an old student, who shares the aims and objectives of BHOBU. An honorary member shall neither be eligible for election to any elected office of the Union nor have any voting rights.

ARTICLE 4 - NATIONAL EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

A. There shall be a National Executive Committee, hereinafter called the Committee, comprising The President, Vice President, Secretary, Vice Secretary, Treasurer, Financial Secretary, Publicity Officer and Organising Secretary.

B. The Committee shall be responsible for the formulation and implementation of policies approved by the Annual General Meeting [Congress] in furtherance of the aims and objectives of the Union.

C. The Committee shall take such measures as to ensure the smooth running of the Union and shall be responsible to the National Co-ordinating Council for the day to day administration of the Union.
The following shall constitute the officers of the Union.
